CACT

The CACT opens the 2010 season with a short exhibition and sale. The aim is to provide support for the Centro and its future activities by offering our friends the opportunity to buy a piece by one of the artists mentioned above at competitive prices, outside the normal logic of the market, so with no profit motive attached.
Unlike the formula used sporadically by many other centres and museums in Europe – the system of sale by auction – the CACT has decided to keep faith with its policy of support by not involving the artists directly in making a free donation of their works for the purpose of funding an artistic institution.

Il CACT apre la stagione 2010 con una mostra-vendita di breve durata. Lo scopo è quello di auto-sostenere il Centro e le sue attività future, proponendo al nostro pubblico l’acquisto di opere dei succitati artisti a prezzi competitivi, al di fuori del mercato e quindi non lucrativi.
Contrariamente alla formula, peraltro sporadica, adottata negli ultimi anni da molti centri e musei europei – e cioè quella dell’asta – il CACT ha deciso di seguire la sua politica di sostegno, non coinvolgendo direttamente gli artisti attraverso la cessione gratuita di loro opere a favore del finanziamento di un istituto d’arte.
